Catch the data coming from serial port and export it as OPC protocol

Problem

I installed Advanced Serial Data Logger and want to use it to catch the data coming from a serial port and export it through OPC protocol. I've downloaded the manual, but I didn't find how can I get the new data coming, and put it in "TAG" or "Variable," and then the OPC client in the remote computer can get the data by adding this "TAG."

Solution

You should do the following:

1. Activate and configure the ASCII Data Parser plugin to extract data packets and then necessary data from data packets.

2. Activate the OPC server data export plugin. All parser items will be converted to OPC tags automatically.
