 Cannot connect to TCP port

Problem

I downloaded and tested you software on my workstation (Windows 10) and it worked fine. I then proceeded to uninstall on my machine and install it onto our Windows 2012 server. We can ping our device from the server, and I can telnet into the TCP port and see information on it from the server. Once the Data Logger starts, it gives the error 192.168.170.2:1752 can't be opened [address not available (#10049 in bind)]

Please let me know what I can do to get this working, it is exactly the solution.

Solution

This error appears because you have selected the "TCP Server" mode in the TCP settings and the specified IP address does not exist on your computer. It seems that you should select the "TCP Client" mode in the TCP settings. In this case the program will act as a client and connect to the specified address.
